The XXVI meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia recently took place in Nur-Sultan. The Kazakh delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, and the Russian delegation, headed by Deputy Chairman of the Government Alexey Overchuk, discussed various key topics.
The discussions included plans to increase railway transportation volumes, launch new routes, support the development of international transport corridors, address challenges faced by Kazakh truckers due to changes in Russian migration laws, and explore opportunities to enhance cooperation in agriculture. Additionally, they deliberated on matters related to energy, finance, industry, and other sectors, culminating in the signing of a protocol. The next IPC meeting is scheduled for 2026 in Omsk.
