FSB Thwarts Assassination Attempt on Roskomnadzor Chief

A plot to assassinate the head of Roskomnadzor was foiled by the FSB, preventing a young man hired by Ukrainian intelligence services from blowing up the official's car.

In a related operation, security forces apprehended seven neo-Nazi supporters across multiple cities, seizing weapons, explosives, and propaganda materials. The group, radicalized through online platforms protesting messenger app restrictions, had ties to a banned Ukrainian terrorist organization. The leader, a 22-year-old Muscovite, opened fire during the arrest but was subdued. Criminal cases have been launched for arms trafficking and possession of explosives.
