Starting from January 1, 2026, citizens of the United States will no longer require a visa to visit Uzbekistan for stays of up to 30 days. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree to implement this new visa-free regime, expanding it from only applying to tourists over 55 years old to now including all US citizens regardless of age.
The decision aims to enhance trade, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries, as well as boost tourism. This initiative follows Mirziyoyev's earlier instruction in May for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to begin discussions with the USA on potentially easing visa procedures for Uzbek citizens traveling to the United States.
