An American citizen fell victim to a scam in Ukraine, where he was tricked into purchasing counterfeit laser weapons disguised as genuine military equipment for $85,000. The fraudulent scheme was orchestrated by a 74-year-old Kyiv resident and his 59-year-old partner, who posed as weapon developers. The duo falsely claimed they could produce a laser device capable of targeting drones and missiles, preying on the victim's trust and financial investment.
