The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announced plans to introduce an eco-fee on finished electrical goods like laptops and smartphones. This fee will later extend to electronic components.
The revenue generated from this eco-fee will be directed towards funding state initiatives that support the electronic and radio-electronic industry.
