Direct descendants of fruit flies, who previously traveled on the "Bion-M" No. 2 satellite, are preparing for a journey to the ISS on November 27. The insects will spend a two-week stint at the station to study the impact of long-term space travel on their reproductive system.
The upcoming mission aims to analyze the effects of space conditions on two generations of flies, continuing the research initiated during the "Bion-M" project.
