Teenage Girl in Russia Sentenced to Prison for Infanticide

A 16-year-old girl from Berezniki, Perm Krai, has been sentenced to a year in prison for the murder of her newborn baby. The Investigative Committee of Russia in the region revealed that the girl gave birth to a baby girl at home on August 12. Tragically, she proceeded to strangle the newborn and then threw the body from the fifth floor.
