A meeting of the Council of Heads of CIS States is taking place in Dushanbe. The summit, chaired by President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, involves leaders from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan discussing international and regional security, trade, economy, and cultural cooperation.
According to the Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the heads of states will address key issues related to security, enhancing trade and economic relations, and broadening humanitarian and cultural cooperation. The summit will also include the signing of several documents aimed at advancing multilateral cooperation. Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the "Central Asia - Russia" Summit in Dushanbe and engaged in bilateral discussions with Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev.
