China's top trading partner is the United States, with a trade volume of $560 billion in 2025, comprising 8.8% of China's total trade valued at $6.35 trillion. Following closely are Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, each contributing around 5% to China's trade volume. Vietnam almost reached 5% at 4.7%, while we ranked seventh with a $228 billion trade volume, representing 3.6% of China's total foreign trade.

Compared to the previous year, there was a 6.9% decrease in trade volume between China and us in 2025. This decline, although significant, was less severe than the United States' decline of -18.7%. Despite conflicts, China and Taiwan continue to engage in active trade relations, showcasing resilience in their economic interactions.
