On January 19, 2006, the interplanetary probe New Horizons embarked on its maiden voyage to Pluto.
The NASA spacecraft conducted a close study of Pluto and its moons, as well as an exploration of the Arrokoth asteroid. Even after two decades, the robotic station remains active in the outer reaches of the Kuiper Belt.
