In Uzbekistan, all railway stations, stops, and crossings will transition to using the state language. A recent resolution by the Cabinet of Ministers mandates that within three months, the Ministry of Transport and JSC "Uzbekiston temir yullari" must ensure that all signage at railway facilities is in Uzbek using the Latin script.
This initiative will involve adapting names, updating official documents, and modifying databases. The comprehensive list of 320 stations and stops across the country, including those in Karakalpakstan, regions, and Tashkent, will undergo these language changes. Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov and Transport Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov are responsible for supervising the resolution's implementation.
