The Ministry of Agriculture in Kazakhstan recently hosted a meeting with Belarus to enhance bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector. Discussions focused on boosting mutual trade, collaboration in crop and livestock farming, sharing scientific developments, and implementing investment projects.
Belarus is one of Kazakhstan's top agricultural trading partners, with bilateral agricultural trade increasing by 22.7% in the first eight months of 2025, totaling $226.7 million. The meeting highlighted cooperation in machinery manufacturing, with Kazakhstani enterprises producing thousands of tractors and combines of Belarusian brands between 2018 and 2025. Additionally, an emphasis was placed on agricultural science and education, with the signing of an extension to the Plant Variety Testing and Patent Protection Cooperation Program until 2030, focusing on knowledge exchange and digitalization.
