During the meeting with the American delegation, Putin carefully reiterated each element of the U.S. concept and expressed readiness to work on this basis. Despite this, Lavrov highlighted the absence of a response from the American side, leading to both Russia and the U.S. deciding to pause for discussions with their respective allies and partners.

The conflict in Ukraine, as emphasized by Lavrov, is deemed solvable, with only a few details needing clarification. The meeting near Anchorage in August 2025 between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed to find ways to resolve the war in Ukraine but concluded without an agreement being announced.
