Prosecutor General's Office Official Attempted $3.5 Million Bribe to Close Case

NABU revealed that an official from the Prosecutor General's Office tried to bribe them with $3.5 million to halt a criminal investigation. The prosecutor, accompanied by lawyers, had already accepted $200,000 and promised an additional $2 million, escalating to $3.5 million, intending to influence NABU staff and High Anti-Corruption Court judges for a favorable verdict. The case targeted for closure was not disclosed.
