Kazakhstan's manufacturing industry experienced a notable 5.9% growth in the recent period, as announced by Vice Minister of Industry and Construction, Olzhas Saparbekov. The chemical sector led the expansion with an 8.1% increase in production, attributed to higher outputs of mineral fertilizers, polypropylene, and paint materials.
The light industry also showed significant progress, with a 7.4% growth rate, particularly in textile production which surged by 12.9%. Additionally, the construction materials segment saw a 7.1% rise, mainly due to increased production of concrete, cement, and building mixtures. Saparbekov credited this positive trend to efforts aimed at enhancing the utilization of domestic capacities and ensuring enterprises have access to affordable raw materials.
