Russians can now work up to 240 hours annually, doubling from 120 hours, following a swift approval by State Duma deputies.
The move, aimed at enhancing labor flexibility and addressing workforce shortages, mandates that the initial two hours of overtime be compensated at one and a half times the regular rate, with subsequent hours at double the rate. These regulations will be enforced starting September 1, prompting anticipation of its impact on the workforce.
