Over 350 Foreign Archaeological Missions Active in Egypt More than 350 foreign archaeological missions, along with over 60 Egyptian missions, are currently conducting excavations in Egypt, as announced by Mohamed Ismail Khaled, the Secretary-General of the country's Supreme Council of Antiquities. The disclosure was made during the sidelines of the official opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza on November 1. Khaled highlighted Egypt's openness to collaborating with all foreign archaeological expeditions when asked about cooperation with archaeologists from Russia. The significant number of international missions working in Egypt underscores the country's rich historical and archaeological significance.
