Three individuals have tragically lost their lives, and several others have been injured in an explosion at the Novgama police station in the Jammu and Kashmir region in northern India. The incident took place during a search operation within the premises, according to the Hindustan Times.

At least eight people sustained injuries in the blast that occurred while police officers were conducting a search inside the building. Additionally, several vehicles at the station were damaged due to the explosion. Foreign media reports highlight that eight officers were injured while collecting samples from a significant amount of explosives recently confiscated as part of an investigation into a "white-collar" terrorist group.
